Eptah Specialty Coffee is on a mission to build healthy, long-lasting and sustainable collaborative relationships between coffee farmers, communities and customers, connections that benefit everyone. Eptah ensures quality at every stage of the coffee shipping process, focusing on selecting and supplying the best green coffee beans to maintain the satisfaction of all parties involved in the supply chain. This plantation was acquired by Eptah in 2023. The farm covers 3.5 hectares at an altitude of 2150-2200m, where various other native trees grow, the most common of which is the ensete (false banana), under the shade of which the Heirloom coffee trees naturally grow. The farm has 350 drying beds and 20 permanent employees. The plot from which this Red Honey batch was selected produces, on average, 3600kg of coffee cherries. So during the harvest season, which begins towards the end of November and ends in January, Eptah employs up to 250 people from the community.
