Colombia El Ocaso

Located in the department of Quindío mere minutes from the famously colourful town of Salento sits the picturesque farm of El Ocaso at 1,850masl. The style of the farm is as traditional to the zone as it can be, with all the buildings having this beautiful white and red combination.
For more than twenty years El Ocaso has been one of the most visited tourist farms in the country, now hosting around 200 people daily to learn about the germinating of a coffee seed to preparing an excellent cup of coffee and everything in between. Santiago’s dream is to now see the coffee of El Ocaso in barista competition , which with the support of Cata Export we hope to make happen sooner rather than later. Santi is dedicated to learning more everyday about both harvest and post harvest protocols, and it is a pleasure to see the evolution every time we visit.
