Anderson Guerrero, along with his father, Fernando, is the owner of the Los Manantiales and Flor de la Vista farms in Perlamayo, Cutervo. The Guerrero family started their farm in 2018, planting the first plants of Tabi in early 2019, with the vision of having a farm very different from the traditional farms you’d find in Peru, with a fertilisation plan made based on soil analysis, larger spacing between row of plants and innovative fermentation and processing methods.
Anderson and his dad are very passionate about quality coffee and this mostly manifests itself in the fermentation and processing of their coffees. They mostly produce honey and natural coffees, since these processing methods give the best, most fruity results in the cup and is very different from most Peruvian coffee, which is what they set out to achieve in 2018.
Currently Fernando and Anderson have 5ha planted with Tabi, seeds which they found locally and believed to be red bourbon, but a resistant, more productive version, however later genetic analysis showed this to be Tabi. The farm is named los Manantiales, which means natural spring, this is because within the 50ha property there are a number of sources of spring water.
